Regarding the health of banks, the CAMELS index is one of the most important global criteria for assessing the performance, risk management, and financial strength of banks. In the latest evaluation of this index, only five listed banks achieved the top position.

According to Nabz-e Bazar, the CAMELS index, one of the most reliable international standards for assessing the financial health and stability of banks, provides a comprehensive picture of the performance and financial strength of banks by examining six components (capital adequacy, asset quality, management, profitability, liquidity, and sensitivity to market risk).
In the latest evaluation of 16 listed banks and credit institutions in the country, only 5 banks were among the top performers in this index, including Bank Mellat, Bank Sina, and Bank of Tourism.

Being among the top performers in the CAMELS index indicates the favorable performance of banks in key indicators of financial health, capital strength, risk management, and performance sustainability; This is an issue that has made this assessment one of the most valid criteria for measuring the banking system.
